This gorgeous, one of a kind necklace is a true work of art. The pendant features an iridescent faceted moonstone, encased within an intricate, lace-like bezel. The bezel is hand crocheted with metallic silk and labradorite beads. The pendant measures approximately 1" long and 3/4" wide, and is suspended from an 18" yellow gold fill chain.

Danielle Welmond's jewelry is instantly recognizable due to the distinctive technique that she employs. The Los Angeles based designer embellishes her work with delicate metallic silk thread, which she weaves into intricate, lace-like designs. Precious gemstones are cocooned within texturally fascinating bezels of wound and knotted silk, which form lacy patterns across their surfaces. Welmond also casts bezels in solid gold that mimic the textures of her weaving technique, using the lost wax method. Welmond's feminine designs bridge centuries-old European crocheting techniques with a modern, delicate aesthetic for a look that is completely original.
